The office was organized six years ago together with our construction arm ARCHIDECS (a construction company established to provide building construction services) with an objective of providing economical as well as superior, excellent but creative design outputs in terms of workmanship and sensibility. It started with a staff of three; our office now has a team of consultants and a staff of eight considering its maverick beginnings. Although the office was considered young and experimental, it also stuck with basic design principles of balance, rhythm, emphasis, proportion, unity, variety, transition and cultural heritage. Our firm still adheres to the idea of form must follow practicality and function.

ARCHIDECS extends over the entire range of architectural design activities that proceed from the time the idea was conceived, perfected, transformed into sets of space/ design requirements, translated into structure through design, built or constructed and later used and become a permanent feature of the man-made environment. And since buildings are for people, buildings must be ergonomically planned. This means the design must match the size, shape, reach and mobility of all occupants.

Our firm consists of a team of professionals equipped and capable of providing the most intricate, demanding and complex requirements and consolidate it to come up with an architectural design solution that will supplement and satisfy our client’s needs and aspirations. We not only assure our client of precision and creativity in design and architectural engineering but also of promptness, integrity, commitment and our client’s utmost satisfaction and expectations. Michael F. Luga

The Principal Architect and Founding/Managing Partner of ARCHIDECS believes in the value that “Creativity in Architecture involves the ability to create environments and images.” With his mindset and norms, he was able to design pertinent structures to date. A graduate of Adamson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture with continued further studies in Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Design, Interior Design and Community Development and Planning. He became the head of Infrastructure Management Office of the same institution and concurrently the Head of the Department of Architecture, College of Engineering and Industrial Technology. His works include the renovation and reconstruction of the façade of the Rizal Technological University in Mandaluyong City in addition to many design collaborative works with Architectural Design consultants and Interior Designers. He also made significant and extensive collaborations for the design and development for the proposed 14-storey hostel building also for Rizal Technological University, Boni Campus, Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong.
